Total Refurbishment of Grade II Listed Lodge and New Additions
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were appointed by the Baptist Property Board to provide full Architectural Services (including Engineering and Quantity Surveying) for the full renovation and new additions to Strawberry Lodge in Carshalton, Sutton. Unfortunately due to dry rot and general lack of maintenance the Grade II listed building needed to be completely renovated and the 1960’s extension (which was in danger of collapse) had to be demolished.
Strawberry Lodge was renovated in accordance with English Heritage’s requirements and a new Church and multi-purpose hall and facilities were constructed. The galleried new hall has a welcoming community coffee lounge and meeting centre at the front. All works were undertaken on a traditional form of Contract and were completed on time and to budget in forty weeks.
Project Value: £750k
