Regeneration Project for Network Rail of Listed Arches
On behalf of Network Rail, Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were asked to produce feasibility and planning application drawings for the redevelopment of 14 no. listed railway arches of varying size. The site, located within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets adjacent to the southern edge of Bethnal Green Gardens. The location is ideally situated close to central London with numerous access transport links including Overground Stations and bus services along the busy Cambridge Heath Road.
The project aim is to diversify the tenancy demographic of the area by offering business space suitable for a range of uses. It is hoped the scheme will improve income and tenant mix of the site (change of use to either A1 to A4, B2 or B8) and act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the immediate area. It is planned for the refurbishment to be completed to a shell and core level with the incoming tenants completing the final fit-out to their own requirements.
