Refurbishment of teaching laboratories and creation of a new pharmacy
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were appointed by the Contractor ITC Concepts Ltd. for the refurbishment of the Wolfson Teaching Laboratories in the world-renowned College of London (UCL). The project was to provide all architectural design works and Lead Designer co-ordination for the refurbishment of teaching laboratories and a new Clinical Pharmacy Centre.
RKG roles included project co-ordination and liaison with the Contractor representatives on-site, attendance at design team meetings and site visits. The facilities were refurbished and redesigned to create three separate teaching laboratories each accommodating fifty students. Laboratories were refurbished for organic chemistry, instrumentation and pharmaceutics and for pharmacology, biochemistry and microbiology.
