New Residential Housing Scheme for Metropolitan Housing
Robinson Kenning & Gallagher were commissioned by Spurgeon’s College to prepare design proposals for key worker accommodation on South Norwood Hill, Croydon. The scheme comprised of thirty-six apartments over three separate residential blocks, with on-site parking for 36 cars, and raised external amenity space to the front and rear.
The site, located on a busy local A-road, stepping down Norwood Hill was previously a petrol station. The residential blocks (three and four storeys high) are a mixture of one, two and three bedroom units. RKG developed the scheme in close liaison with the Local Borough Council before successfully gaining Planning Approval for affordable housing accommodation for Metropolitan Housing who purchased the site.
